How much does it cost to have a T-Shirt Quilt made?

28 quilts and almost a year later I've finally sat down and come up with some base lines for prices for various size quilts to help you figure out what you want to do.

A few things you should know first:

  • A "square" is a block that is 12.5 x 12.5 inches in size.
  • A "BIG square" is a block that is 15.5 x 15.5 inches in size.
  • I can fit more than one T-shirt into a square  (In the picture below you can see where a square has two pocket logs and a strip from like the front of the shirt. I can fit as many as 4 pockets into one square.)

So with that in mind:  Here are the ideas for what a T-Shirt quilt will cost you.

15 Squares:  $280.00
15 BIG Squares: $310.00
20 Squares:  $315.00
20 BIG Squares:  $330.00
25 Squares:  $350
Personalized Baby Quilts: $275.00

Price includes material**, piecing, quilting, and binding.

**I really enjoy making the quilts something you'll cherish forever by helping you pick out fabric that reflects your own style or personality.  So, if you just want some really special fabric that is online, rare and expensive, then it may be a little more due to cost, but we can get that all squared away**

In the event that you live outside of the Southeast and your quilt will need to be shipped to you, there will be a shipping/postage charge. (But I didn't want to include that in the price since so many of the people asking for prices are in the Panama City/Montgomery area and I can get your quilts to you without having to ship them).

When you sit down and google "T-Shirt Quilts" you'll get many sites where people want to help you make your quilts, but many don't include sashing in their prices (the border fabric between the t-shirts), or a border fabric that makes your quilt different from everyone else's quilt.      If you have any questions about anything- please do not hesitate to ask.  You can reach me via email at:  joyleighlane@gmail.com or call me at 850-896-1410.
